Happy Birthday, Rose Calloway!

It's August 5th and today, we celebrate Rose Calloway's birthday!   On this day, Rose turns 27 in the Addicted series timeline.  She is fierce as she is loyal.  She is intelligent as she is beautiful.   

Rose is driven and passionate in empowering women and making them feel confident.  She strives to help women know their worth and to love and accept who they are.  Rose is an inspiration; someone we can all look up to and admire.

I know that there are a lot of fans who started the whole Addicted Series by reading Kiss the Sky first, so now would be the perfect time to start this series if you haven't yet!  This book is completely amazing and it's not dark and heartwrenching as Addicted to You.

You can read my Kiss the Sky review HERE.  Mind you, I wrote this before the authors decided to add more books to the series.  Kiss the Sky was originally a standalone novel, and in fact, it could still be read as a standalone novel, but why would you when you can have more of this fabulous cast and this awesome world!?  You would have to be certifiable not to read the series.  PLUS, Long Way Down (which is the last book of the series before the epilogue novel) is due to be released on Nov 20th, 2015!!  PERFECT. TIME. TO. START. THE. SERIES.

I’d say that this is the best book out of the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series, but I think I’ve said that after each one I’ve read. Everything in this book just hit me on so many levels that it means so much to me. I can’t even explain it without giving the story away. But this…

This quote just about sums it up nicely for me. This is one of the big reasons why I love this book. The underlying message to be yourself in a world where anything and everyone is constantly labeled is one of the strong points in this book for me.

Rose…she’s something fierce. There is no other character like her in anything I’ve read. Her intelligence and confidence…she will always be an inspiration.

Then Connor, oh my gosh, Connor. He’s come a long way from being an asexual sponge. I think Connor and Ryke are the icing on the cake in this story. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love them more, Krista & Becca give me a thousand more reasons to. I can’t find a good way to write this review without spoiling the plot. I don’t know how to articulate my feelings for this book. There are so many rare moments that you just have to experience for yourself.

The bond between the 6 main characters is even stronger. The love between them is indestructible. I want to be a part of their family. I want their story to continue and I can’t wait to read more of what lies ahead for Ryke and Daisy in the final book *sobs* of the series, Long Way Down.

So, I've been thinking...what do you get a girl who has everything?  Rose Calloway is smart, beautiful, successful, rich, and has an amazing and swoon-worthy man who's perfect for her in every way!  What else could she possibly want and need?
